On Saturday the cross country teams travelled to Cedarville for the OHSAA division 1 district cross country meet. The day started with a fantastic girls race where our team was led by Kensi Black, who placed 7th overall and earned a trip to regionals next weekend as an individual qualifier. She was followed by Bryley Wulff, Sarah Wallace, Laila Black and Kydee Shults who all ran new personal bests to close out their season and Riley Mullin with a new season best.

In the boys race our men looked to qualify to regionals for the second consecutive season and they did not disappoint with a 7th place overall finish and a trip to Troy next weekend for regionals. The team was led by Chris Bond (14th) and Connor Green (16th) who both ran new personal bests. They were followed by Carter Black, Austin Hitte, and James Huff, who all had strong races and continued to pick off runners throughout the race, lowering our score. Freshman Oliver Crossthwaite and Daniel Osborne turned in some great performances as our 6th and 7th runners.

Next weekend Kensi and the Boys team will travel to Troy for regionals where we are looking to advance runners to the state meet the following week. Next Saturday the girls race begins at 2pm followed by the boys at 2:45pm. Come out and cheer your Wildcat runners on at Troy high school.
