On Saturday the Cross Country teams travelled to Milton Union High School for the Bob Schul Invitational. In the boys Division I/II race Chris Bond led the way for our team with a 6th place finish, out of 326 runners. He was followed by Connor Green in 15th, Carter Black 35th Austin Hitte in 36th, with a new personal best time of 17:56, and James Huff in 68th, also with a new personal best of 18:51, to round out the scoring for our team. This placed the men's team 6th out of 20 teams in the race. Oliver Crosthwaite, and Isaac Shults also posted new personal best times at the race.

In the girls race Kensington Black led the way with a strong effort and great finish to come away with 2nd place overall, out of a field of 229 runners. She was followed by Bryley Wulff with a new personal best of 24:03, Sarah Wallace, Kydee Shults with a personal best of 27:01 and Laila Black with a huge PR of 27:08, shaving more than 2 minutes off her time from last weeks race. With their efforts the team was able to come away with a 13th place finish out of 26 teams.

The cross country team travels to Lebanon on Saturday September 2nd to compete in the Running Warrior Invitational. This will be an extremely competitive meet with many of the top division I teams in our region competing. The varsity girls race begins at 8 am followed by the varsity boys at 8:40am and the JV boys at 10 am.
