Franklin City Schools is pleased to announce the selection of Timothy Dunaway as the district’s next Head Varsity Baseball Coach, pending board approval.
Coach Dunaway brings over two decades of elite-level coaching, player development, and athletic administration experience to the Franklin High School baseball program. Since founding the Dayton Sting Baseball Club in 2006, he has built a strong reputation across the region for athlete development. He currently serves as Head Coach of the nationally ranked Dayton Sting 16U team and has mentored numerous players who have advanced to compete at the collegiate and professional levels.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Dunaway to the Wildcat family," said district administration. "His extensive coaching background, commitment to fundamentals, and deep familiarity with high school athletics make him an exceptional leader for our baseball program and student-athletes."
A multi-sport athlete during his youth, Dunaway is a graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School. Following a career as a Media Specialist with Dayton Public Schools, he currently serves as a Building Substitute at Mark Twain Elementary in Miamisburg.
In addition to his coaching tenure, Dunaway brings a comprehensive understanding of interscholastic athletics as an active Class 1 official across six sports, including baseball, softball, basketball, football, volleyball, and girls flag football.
Dunaway has two children and resides in Miami Township with his wife.
