All of our winter sports teams will have officially started competitions by the end of the week. Last week the wrestling team hosted its annual tournament and finished in 3rd place out of 10 teams. Junior Creager and Bear Egner finished as tournament champions. Runner ups include Blaine Napier, Carter Reed and Dillon Smith. Finishing in 3rd place was Bryant Ferguson, Acheron Marcum and Danny Osborne.
Boys basketball went 2-0 on the week defeating Dixie 60-39, and Monroe 59-56. Kai Cook has led all scorers in every game so far and is currently averaging 26ppg. Girls basketball went 1-1 on the week falling to Edgewood by a score of 49-42 and defeating Monroe 34-32 to pick up their first win of the season. The bowling team fell to Edgewood and Ross but their scores continue to improve each time they are on the lanes. The Swim team has been hard at work and are excited to officially kick things off this week.
