It is Homecoming week for the Franklin Wildcats. This will create pretty packed schedule this week of events to allow for the HOCO parade and other activities.
Recapping last week, Varsity football fell to CJ on Friday Night. The boys had a one point lead heading into the 4th but could not hold on. The Cats were led in rushing by Malachi Gipson and Braydon Issacs and receiving by Lincoln Clark. Lily Cook continues to be perfect on season with extra points. JV picked up a victory on Saturday 36-28. Girls Soccer went undefeated last week defeating Edgewood 3-0 and Talawanda 2-0. Goal keeper Aliyah Donisi and the Wildcat Defense recorded two shut outs and 5 different players recorded goals. Boys Soccer dropped their only match of the week to Edgewood 0-1. Boys Golf defeated Eaton at Home. Aiden Standifer and Will Truesdell led the Cats with low scores. Girls Golf continues to improve and played well in their one match last week against Valley View. Volleyball went 2-1 on the week. The fell to Edgewood in 4 sets then defeated Xenia 3 Sets and Dixie in 4 sets. Junior Olivia Truesdell recorded her 700th Assist. Girls Tennis went 2-1 on the week falling to Talawanda but defeating Edgewood and Stivers. They also finished as Runner up at the Valley View Invitational. Cross Country competed at Springboro over the weekend. They were led by Laila Black on the girls side and Oliver Crosthwaite on the Boys side.
