On Friday 2/14/25 between the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games against Bellbrook, Franklin City schools will be welcoming back Luke Kennard for an official court dedication in his honor.
Luke was a standout basketball and football player for the Wildcats. He earned All State Honors in both football and basketball as well as being Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015. At the time of his graduation Luke was 2nd All Time in OHSAA history in career points. He went on to play basketball at Duke University earning NCAA All American status before being a 1st Round NBA Draft Pick of the Detroit Pistons. Luke currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies where he is regarded as one of the most accurate shooters in the NBA.
